Using multiple fonts in FAB Subtitler

This function is only possible for open, DVD and DVB subtitles. To verify that you are working with the correct type of subtitles and/or to change the type please click on File/Info>File properties and choose “Open/DVB/DVD” as a display standard:

  1. To be able to use and work with multiple fonts please configure the following settings in Options first:
Options/Subtitle formats/Open/DVD/DVB subtitles/Click here to define fonts and colors

Please click on the tab Fonts. You will see under Text appearance that there is a list of fonts. Font 1 is automatically enabled and you can set it under the tab Font/Font face as shown in the image below:

Please enable other fonts as well by checking the “Enabled” field next to the font. The maximum number of fonts that can be enabled and used in FAB Subtitler is 4. To configure the second font please click on Font 2 and choose the Font face from the drop down menu as shown in the image below:

To configure the third and the fourth font please follow the same step as mentioned above for Font 2.

Do not forget to click OK button after the fonts have been set.

  1. After the fonts have been set in Options you can now use them to write subtitles. Please go to menu Format where you can choose the font from the drop down menu as seen in the image below:

In the image below I have chosen Font 1 for the first line of the first subtitle and Font 2 for the second line of the second subtitle:
