This page describes how FAB Subtitler BCAST/XCD can be configured for transmission of subtitles in multiple languages. To be able to use more than one language a license for every language needs to be obtained.
Configuration
- In Options / Special / Languages define all languages that you wish to use.
- Configure every language according to your requirements. It is important to define the filename suffix so that FAB Subtitler can know for which language the subtitle file shall be used.In example below all files *_spa.stl will be used for Spanish. When receiving live subtitles over network the page number defines to which language the subtitles will be assigned when the live subtitling workstation sends live subtitles to the defined teletext page number.
- Configure all subtitle outputs in Options / System.
- In Options / System / Active outputs use the button “Set name / delay / languages” to define which language should be sent to which subtitle output.
