FAB Teletext Data Generator FT-DGS and FAB Teletext Data Bridge FT-DBR can display transmitted teletext pages in the visible part of the output SDI signal. The main functionality is inserting teletext into VBI/VANC, but it is possible to configure the system to display any transmitted teletext page as visible picture in the output SDI.

Configuration

To enable visible teletext page output in the output SDI:

• Activate the setting “Display the content of the following teletext page numbers on SDI output”
• Enter the page numbers and the duration of display of each page number in the following way:

page.subpage|durationsecs;page.subpage|durationsecs;page.subpage|durationsecs

Usage examples

• Displaying the content of a page can be useful when connecting the SDI to a video monitor to see something on the video monitor instead of black picture.
• Displaying teletext pages with news, sports and other interesting content could be a useful as a program during the night when no other interesting video content is available.
