FAB Subtitler BCAST/XCD can insert CEA-608 and CEA-708 closed captions into SD-SDI and HD-SDI by using a FAB SDI PCIe card

The following configuration is necessary for insertion of American Closed Captions into SDI:

Please note that CEA-608 and CEA-708 have quite many limitations:

• a very limited character set is available, therefore not all national characters can be used
• not more than 32 characters per subtitle line can be used
• the transmission speed is limited to 2 characters per frame
