FAB DVB Interface supports three different ways of synchronizing PIDs generated within FAB DVB Interface (DVB Subtitles, Teletext and other) to a reference PCR clock. You can change the behavior by selecting the appropriate value in the “Transmission mode for DVB output” configuration option. The following modes are available:

Synchronize output to internal PCR

PTS timestamp in PIDs generated by FAB DVB Interface is synchronized to an internal PCR clock. This PCR clock is transmitted in a separate PID.

Synchronize output to reference PCR

PTS timestamp in PIDs generated by FAB DVB Interface is synchronized to an external PCR clock, extracted from the received transport stream. No PCR clock is transmitted by the DVB Interface.

Synchronize output to reference PCR and transmit internal PCR

PTS timestamp in PIDs generated by FAB DVB Interface is synchronized to an external PCR clock, extracted from the received transport stream. Internal PCR clock is transmitted in a separate PID but is not used for subtitle synchronization.
